Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to do some mapping with Google Earth and I'm interested in using more sophisticated color with the KML Export.  I'm using a series of metaball curves and I'm trying to drive the color with a gradient, similar to how Brent Huntley did it here. This works fine with a preview, but when I export to a .kml there's no gradient in Google Earth.  Am I missing something?

Just a heads up, I'm generating my map with Elk.  A walk through on how to do something similar is here.

Thanks!

that is amazing...wow thanks for sharing! that works perfect :D

Hello Alex,

with gHowl r50, this is not possible.  I have a new version of gHowl in the works, but it is going at a snail's pace.  I have already implemented this feature.  If you like, send me a message and I will get you wip version.

I'd love to check it out- I'll message you as soon as we're connected.

Thank you for bringing all this up Alex! Even though I was not able to take your course I'm still intrigued and would like to continue to try and figure this out.

Works like a charm...
