It's time for a Grasshopper Donate button

Hi everyone,

Because I use Grasshopper almost daily I feel like showing my gratitude. But there is no real way to do that, apart from thanking David on the forum. Wouldn't it feel strange if you couldn't applaud after a great concert?

As David stated here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/when-will-grasshopper-1-0..., McNeel makes money off Grasshopper indirectly.

But have you ever had such great and fast support from the core developer of a software package?

A donation system could maybe also trigger more regular updates possible and give McNeel more insight into the Grasshopper audience.

Everyone should decide for him or herself what to donate. Some of us are students and don't even have money for food. For me Grasshopper is the only software on the planet with which I can achieve certain 3D models and I use it professionally and depend on it like I do on several other packages.

Furthermore, Grasshopper might still be in alpha stage, it's more stable than many 'stable and professional' software I use, I can always count on it. It really feels like fullblown 'finished' software.

So. If there was a Donate button at least we could do something more than say 'thank you' on the forum and really show our appreciation!
