Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have installed the latest version 3.4 and I get the following error when attrmpting to open the planktonturtledemo file. Is this the best approach to use when converting a collection of polylines into an ngon in plankton.

1. Error (CS1061): 'Plankton.PlanktonMesh' does not contain a definition for 'ToPolylines' and no extension method 'ToPolylines' accepting a first argument of type 'Plankton.PlanktonMesh' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) (line 91)

thanks very much for your amazing work

Are you trying to convert polylines into a plankton mesh, or vice-versa? The builtin ToPolylines method does the latter only.

The turtle demo was written for an earlier version of plankton, although I'm 99% sure that it's still compatible (I don't have access to a computer currently, so unfortunately I can't confirm this). Make sure to unblock the plankton GHA and DLL files before opening Grasshopper. The error message above makes me wonder if this is the problem, as 0.3.4 for sure has the ToPolylines extension method. Perhaps double check that the script component references both the plankton.dll and the plankton.gha assemblies...

Sorry, no hard solutions, only suggestions until I'm back in front of a computer in a few days time.

Will,

All of the files were unblocked. I seem to get errors on any of the C# components in the demo files.

thanks, jason

Jason, thanks for confirming. I'll take a look for you as soon as I can.

I just re-downloaded v0.3.4 and both of the demo files from the v0.3.0 release and everything works fine.

Please releases component PlanktonGh.dll from 0.3.0 to 0.3.4 Thanks you

Please to update the current release because it's actually the  not correct DLL.

thanks very much
