algorithmic modeling for Rhino

how can i use isotrim to get a specified division of 5'x5' panels. I know how to divide a surface using divide interval squared, but I don't know how to set it by a dimension that I need.

like this?

it did not work. it divides the surface by half, by each increasing integer. i can bake it and then scale1D to get the real 5' size but I want to maintain it as grasshopper geometry and not have to keep baking and relinking the baked geometry.

Your input surface is a trimmed surface, this is why isotrim searchs the orignal size. just create a new surface by the edges. this is one possibility.

I attempted to get a surface from points and it is not working the way I would like.

close. but I need it to grow in the Y direction by 5' as well. I tried this one but cant figure out why the perimeter panels did not divide correctly like the inner panels
