I can't work out what the mapping is supposed to be between those two sets.

Thanks for your reply david,

Here is what I am trying to do. The version on the left is what I have, the version on the right is the 'pattern' I want. Where when the curve direction shifts both lines are shown, and then it switches over to the side of the following curve.... hopefully this makes sense.
