algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I need to display some dimensions in Rhino, some are below the reference plane and there for need to be negative. This seems to be quite a convoluted solution. Is there a better alternative using a component that I haven't thought of?

If you wan't just the rectangular dimension you can use the z value of the point, for example:


If what you need is the aligned dimension try this:

Thank you, I like the x/abs(x) solution which allows me to replace 6 components with 1.
