Is the forum buggy?

Yes.  There is a long delay when you post before the page is re-displayed and people aren't waiting long enough.  When they repeatedly click "Add Reply", a new thread gets created.  Annoying!

Noticed that too. I often have it as well, that I post a reply and seemingly nothing at all happens. If you refresh the page, the reply had been posted. Unpatient people - myself included - might furiously press the button several times. Obviously the Ning forum doesn't have any saveguards to automatically detect double posting. Or it should have a posting limit of say 1 post per minute. Doesn't seem to be the case or is not configured right.

A troll/spammer could flood this forum with no problems it seems.

As I said before I believe that the forum and whole Grasshopper website is in dire need of a visual, functional and technical overhaul!

edit: happened just now posting this reply as well. It only started happening recently, as well as that weird google translate bar always popping up even if I deactivate it.

Added an Error & Bugs thread here and reported it using the Report an Issue link at the bottom of the page. Not sure if that went through though, as the page kept timing out. I imagine these symptoms are related. Ning is pretty wonky, to say the least!
