algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello!

I'm struggling a bit with meshing...

I would like to create a single mesh composed of quad and triangular elements as defined by the curves shown in pink in the image.  In other words, no subdivisions within the regions defined by the curves.

Maybe it's also useful to explain that I'm trying to use the origami component in Kangaroo to simulate the folding of a piece of paper along the pink lines.  I'm new to Kangaroo, but after finally getting a fan fold to work, I think I understood that the origami component will only work as long as all the lines in the input mesh are also the fold lines.  This is why I assume that my input mesh can only consist of elements defined by the fold lines...??  Maybe this is not correct?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

You can use Weaverbird's Mesh from Lines (wbWeave) component for this.

Bear in mind though that many crease patterns are not rigid-foldable (ie without stretching the paper).

Thank you, Daniel! good to know this!

It works, thank you very much!  :)
