Irregular Mesh Collision with Sphere and Kangaroo

I am trying to get this sphere to move down into the mesh and to create an impact onto the mesh.

If anyone knows how I can alter the script in order to make the sphere interact with the mesh that would be really helpful.

Thank you

I am trying to get the final outcome to be similar to the blue form in this drawings (shown below). So I would like the spheres to interact but only create small pockets on the form not to distort the whole form.

Are you trying to create a DRAPE effect or a SHRINK-WRAP effect?

A Shrink-Wrap Effect is what I was looking for.

Hey, have a look at the file  I attached. You will need Weaverbird from Giulio Piacentino:

http://www.giuliopiacentino.com/weaverbird/

One thing to note is that in order to get a smooth result, you will need a very fine mesh, that means you will need to subdivide it a lot with weaverbird, more than I've done in my attempt below. This of course means a very long computation time, that could be hours if you plan to use more spheres.

If the mesh is not 'fine' enough it will 'escape' because there will be no vertices to collide. Also you can use a brep sphere, I've placed a component in the file for that as well, but it would be even slower and again, if there aren't enough vertices you will get a broken mesh with holes.

Try playing with the settings for stiffness and the like to get to your desired result, but it might be that you won't get exactly what you want and need to shrink wrap the mesh at the end as well maybe?

Also, if you can't compute the result, i suggest to manually edit a mesh, since you know what you are after once you've done a physical experiment/simulation. Autodesk 3dStudio Max is what i'd use.

Best!
