Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

My Problem is probably quite easy to solve, but I am new to grasshopper.

I want to Intersect A Circle shaped surface (that I created from an arc) with a box.

But I only want the surfaces inside the box to be left over, so that the surfaces of the box create bounding lines for the curve left inside the box.

Thank you for your help.

Sort of. But the circle is slanted inside the box.

Also, what you created is only the lines not as a new joined up surface.

Like this .....

The Black boundary should be the outer boundary of the new surface so the 3 straight lines and the curve at the bottom are the edges of a new surface.

Thank you for your help

ok, like this?

I'm sorry but this still doesnt work. In 90 % of the times the list at the end returns the outside surface. And makes your method unstable.

Isnt there a function like a CreateSurfaceFromBodyAndCurve(Surface, Body){ return Surface Inside Body and on Surface)

Subtract From Surface Everything outside a box.

Thank you.

here are two more possibilities.

try to think in a working process, even a component isn´t a one step function.

And I think this is what its all about thinkin of how to get from Input A to Output B. That is actually waht makes so much fun about working with gh
