algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Installation of latest grasshopper version and selection of points

I have just downloaded the latest version but when I try to drag the rhp to the rhino window, it says that it is being blocked.  I then went to change the property of the rhp file as suggested but I do not have the block/unblock check box on the panel.

 

In previous versions, I seem to recall that there was either an msi or exe file that I double click to install grasshopper?

 

Also I need to select points that are inside a rectangular or spherical surface.  Is there a way to do this in grasshopper??

Is it in fact an RHI file that you have downloaded? In which case, provided you have an updated version of Rhino 5 installed, then you can just double click the file to install it.

no it was a zip file from which I extracted the files one of which is the rhp.  Where do you download the rhi from

When I click on the above link I get the panel which enables me to download a zip file which does not contain the RHI file.
