algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I couldn't find an answer to this. I have both Rhino5 32-bit and 64-bit installed. Is it possible to install Karamba3d for both versions? Right now, it seems I have to pick one.

I'm using 32-bit because of importing NumPy into GHPython, and 64-bit because of some other plug-ins that run only on 64-bit.

Dear Diederik,

it is possible to use both versions of Karamba at the same time.

The files which are different under 32-bit and 64-bit environments are 'karamba.dll' and 'libiomp5md.dll'. They are installed to the 'C:\Windows'-folder. The reason for this is, that 'C:\Windows\' is one of the default search pathes for dlls.

Try to move the two files to the 'System'-folder under Rhino 32bit or 64bit respectively. This should also work.

Best,

Clemens

Hi Clemens,

That worked, thanks.

I installed it twice, and copied the .dll files you mentioned from 'C:\Windows' to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Rhinoceros 5\System' and 'C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 5 (64-bit)\System respectively'.

To make sure I have the components in both Rhino version, I think I also had to copy the Karamba installation, so the 'karamba.gha' file and the \Karamba subfolder, so that they are in both 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Rhinoceros 5\Plug-ins\' and 'C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 5 (64-bit)\Plug-ins\'.

Bye,

Diederik
