It's seems to be a meshing problem. Even grasshopper's mesher is better than rhino's. If you increase the mesh quality the openings will appear again.

I second that. For me it helped just rebuilding the baked srf in rhino with more divPts. Hope that helps.

Since it's a display issue i think it's better just to play with the mesh settings since rebuilding may alter the geometry.
