Image Sampler Crashing Grasshopper&Rhino

I am having a very inconvenient concern with my image sampler.

Everything els in grasshopper works but the second I try and load an Image to the Image Sampler component my grasshopper freezes and crashes.

I am tried to reinstall grasshopper completely and well as just opening the component alone in a definition with nothing connected and it still does it.

When only a week ago it was working perfectly and I can still open old GH files with image samplers imbedded in them and they work but then crash if I try and change the image.

Any ideas on why this might be happening? and if so how I might be able to fix it?

Hi Kate,

does it happen with all images, or only with some specific ones? Does it happen when the solver is locked?

Yes, any JPG or PNG that I input.

and I just tried with the solver locked and it still froze.

Could it be a conflict with rhino or another component?

I have no idea what it could be. I attached a gh file with a single C# component that loads an image of the disc, then displays it on the canvas. Let's see if that one works... I also attached a test image of my cat that definitely works on my machine.

The bitmaptest does work but I also figured out the image sample problem. For some reason I have to deselect both auto update and save in file for it to work. Now that those are deselected it is working again.

Thanks Kate, I'd still like to find out what was causing the problem, somehow GH must have thought the image was changing all the time. I'll see if I can add more failsafes to the update code.
