algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I've been searching through the forum for a way to move some points in a mesh but I didn't find what I needed. In other words, I had a pattern in my mesh and I want to distort it. The image I enclose can make my purpose clearer.
I'm quite new in grasshopper.
I've this mesh composed by squares and triangles. what I want to do is move just few selected points in y direction maintaining the mesh intact.
I enclose my code as well.

Hi Mabel, looking at your definition - I think you meant to move some verts in x direction. I removed some parts that didn't do anything (sublist with original list length) and combined some stuff. I chose to not use Kangaroo btw. Hope this definition helps.
Good, you're welcome Mabel. I have a strong feeling this is turning into a do-my-homework-in-10-discussions thing (which I don't care for), maybe it would be wise to start learning a bit more GH and Kangaroo basics before getting back to your current challenge. Read the primer, do the exersizes, then we can talk some more. Good luck, and enjoy the learning!
"..how the command works".. What command do you mean Mabel?
Guides that are helpful are, as I said - the GH primer to start with, but I somehow think you mean guides that are closely related to your current challenge, right? I personally think you could learn a lot about the theory needed when you actually fold such a shape, so I'd try to replicate what these guys did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qkqVN0C00o for instance. This will help you understand the steps, and better explain your questions if you still have any.
But to keep GH fun, I think you'll need to do many basic exersizes to develop the basic understanding of the GH workflow and datatrees a.s.o. It's better to achieve several smaller succeses than to try to climb Everest as a first attempt (and thus fail). That's a little exaggerated, but I hope you get what I meant.
Welcome to
Grasshopper
