algorithmic modeling for Rhino
please helllp meee
so if u know what tutorial i need please tell me
I think that Marcus means that you need tutorials to learn grasshopper, not to make the truss. It's a really simple geometry, probably nobody will create it here for you without your involvement.
This is not a 'do my work for me' group
Many of us like to help, but it's good to see effort on our part being matched by effort on your part. Questions in the form of 'I need to do X but cannot be bothered to try and learn the software' will (and should) go unanswered.

i found this can i change the base curve and use my own curve(space frame)and create my own surface??
i use the flow in rhino
but my space frame is not right if u see the attachment
all my beam is straight bud in my file is curve
someone help me
Ok, let me point out a few things.
I already said so, but I'll repeat: your reference might be origami, but your truss definitely is not origami. At least, you don't need origami folding to build your proposed truss.
Your flow solution looks like a pretty good approximation of what you said, you want to achieve. Flow converts all lines to curves in order to match them to the surface. It's either that or your truss would have top accommodate the different surface curvatures.
I'd suggest the following workflow:
- analyze your truss module for it's connection and construction logic
- find points for connection nodes on the surface that define placement and connection (probably a triangle or hex grid in your case)
- construct the connecting trusses between the nodes.
For a curved surface you will find that:
a) if the connection between two node positions is without torsion of the ends, your nodes will get heavily deformed due to the large angle deviations of the different joining truss segments.
b) if you allow torsion, your nodes will be as shown in your reference but your connection trusses might be heavily distorted.
is it working for my truss?
i watched all this tutorials
bud it dosent help me
i need tutorilas for making 3d truss i think
Hi Behnam,
You should focus your attention on Data Matching in Grasshopper.
Particularly from the Sets Tab for List and Tree Manipulation.
Particularly components like [Relative Item] would allow you to pair points on separate branches to make lines across from one structural member to another.
Also get to know components like [shift list].
But a quick search on Google should lead you in the right direction.
While we are at it there is a bit of forum etiquette to follow. Don't post the same question over and over again on different areas of the forum. Post one discussion at let the answers come.
Otherwise it just constitutes Spam.
If you are interested in finding some answers about origami have a look at the plug-in Kangaroo
i'm begging someone help me plz
i saw a lot of tutorials in youtube &vmeo but i couldnt find my answeerrrr!!plz
help
