Human trafic-based geometry

Hi Guys

I found very interesting movie on the Net. I wonder how to solve similiar example. I think they input the human's traffice to GH (somehow) and than generated final square geometry. How to start thinking about such problems??

He used Kangaroo.
I am not sure how could you do this with Kangaroo, but this is the way it can be done with Galapagos:

Open the definition attached. Click on Galapagos (far right pink component), then choose the "Solvers" tab, and click on "Start solver". After couple of seconds, when the process ends, click on "OK" in the lower right angle.
And that is it - Galapagos "calculation" resulted in determination of the shortest pedestrian paths, on overall level.
