[Solved]How to use curves finding closed boundary

hello everyone

in the beginning i've three curves, and i already use "shatter" finding individual points and curves.

my question is how to find closed boundary and create the surface?

the result should be like the second image that i chose from rhino haha.

thanks!

Try this out. I test for the end points of the original curves, then cull the curves that extend beyond the surface boundaries you want to create.

Oh yes! i was sure i had seen your great solution. when i browsed through my reference saved forum posts i found first this http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/meshsplit?context=user and wrongly assumed that this was the case and i remembered wrong, since this one deals with meshes.

why is the name closed curve intersection network?

i checked it with the three curves in the above capture, which are open, and it works. did not try more open curves though.

I guess I didn't really think too hard about the name :) but it was because it creates closed curve networks...that mesh split thing looks super cool LMNTS is always doing pretty amazing stuff.

thanks everyone!

i've tried to split the surface into further small boundary like the image.

this way just like the autocad function "blocking", hoping it could help some people.
