how to set default value of slider

hi,

By "setting the default value" you mean that every time you drag a slider on to the canvas you get the same default starting value?

If you double click on the canvas and time a number (integer or double) you get a slider with this value as the default.

In addition, you can set the domain of this slider by typing something like -2.00 < 1.00 < 5.00

this provides a slider of doubles(2 digits) from -2.00 to 5.00 starting with value 1.00 picked.

But what I means is every time I drag a slider from the tool bar, I can get the same default starting value and range.

Is there anyway on donig this

Set a slider to the default values you need, select it, File->Create User Object.

Once you've done it, isn't it then about as efficient as it gets?

There's no way to change the default slider setup. I could add this feature, but creating User Objects seems to be a somewhat more flexible approach as you can create more than one default.

Select slider -> Ctrl+C --> Ctrl+V
