How to sample a color from a bitmap using a point to extract closest pixel's color value?

I haven't been able to find any way to sample colors from a bitmap using "pixel coordinates" or something similar. Does anyone have an idea about this concept?

Hello, there is no real Bitmap object in Rhino or Grasshopper. Bitmap is positionned on a mesh or a surface. If you look at my code here

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/creating-a-knitting-patte...

you will see that I use an Image component which draw a bitmap on a mesh. Height = Pixels Height

Width = Pixels in width

But this could lead to error as Y in bitmap is from top to bottom.

Could you upload a definition or 3dm  ?

I read it like Jim was meaning this: toggle the Mona Lisa icon:
