How to reproduce Sou Fugimoto's work

Hello, 

I'm learning how to model in Grasshopper and I would like to know if I can reproduce a Sou Fujimoto's work with scripts.

The work is called "Inside/Outside Tree" and it's based in voids of a tree. The transparent material has triangle form and the pieces create a cube (https://vimeo.com/11625385)

Can anybody help me?
