How to remain group names of all the objects when I copy and paste them to another file?

I'm sorry, I don't get it. You are copy-pasting grouped geometry between two 3dm files and the group name is not maintained? Or are you copy pasting Grasshopper groups and you lose the name? Or...?

I copy and paste grouped geometry between two 3dm files and the the group name is not maintained. All the names changed to 'group###'.

Hmm, I cannot repeat that. Not in Rhino4 or Rhino5. Exactly what name have you assigned, and how did you assign it?
