how to redefine a set of distance values

Hi! 

I'm doing to do a extrusion depending on the distance from a point to an element. The objective is to redirect the distance values to specific values, for example, if the distance values goes from 0 to 4 the extrusion would be by 0 and so on. Does anyone have an idea of how i could do this? Thanks in advance!
