Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there!

I have these rows of points, and I would like to move each row, vertically, put so that each point gets a different height. So that they could shape a convex or concave shape, or an s-shape (vertically still)

How I would like to lift my curve, for example, but also in other "shapes"

The truth is out there.. I hope:)

All the best!! /Sophia

Thank you Systemiq! I'm trying to create your suggestion now, but I'm stuck at two points..

1. I can't find the D-D element.. There are two in the bottom of the picture.. What is that? Where can I find it?

2. Is the top Graph-mapper an ordinary graphmapper? How can I make it look like yours? Is it sine-crv?

Thank you so much for your help! Have a nice day:)

D-D is Flip Matrix (Sets->Tree), I used it to get "rows" of data instead of "columns".

The top Graph is Gaussian, I moved the left control point a bit.

Wow! That was a reply-record! I found the matrixflip and gaussian, and I think I have recreated what you did, but my interpolate is red and I'm not able to move the points! Why do you think that is? It was red even though I tried to reparameterise like you did..

Strange?

Depends on what you want to do.

If you want a different graph for each of your 11 curves, ignore the Flip etc and connect the top Z directly to the Move (be aware that the move will go from 0 to 1 Z, which should be unnoticeable if you are working with huge numbers, connect some multiply to see anything)

Or connect the orange(?) Arc component directly to the Divide.

Upload File if you have some problems.

Thank you for your patience with me, haha.. Ok, I'm now able to move my points, but they do not form a convex or concave shape, have I missed something?

And, yes, I would like to move each curve individually, answer to your question earlier.

Reparameterize Divide Input, and don't graft Graph output.

HEUREKA!! I hereby pronounce you "grasshopper-guru of the day" Thank you so much..
