How to make a joint for beams if there are beams on both sides of an column?

Hello,

I am trying to make an structure in Grasshopper and I want to analyse the structure with Karamba. I know that Karamba needs to have nodes and joints on beams and columns to analyse the whole structure. I want to make this node seen on the picture. I have used offset in Grasshopper for the beams so it can offset from the column, but now there is no connection between them. How can I fix this?

Edit: Attached my file of GH

Hello Giorgio,

you could use an eccentric cross section (see attached definition for Karamba3d 1.3.0).

Best,

Clemens

Hello Clemens, thank you for your reply. I am trying to get the beams in GH, but on my screen my GH script doesnt work and doesnt show any beams at the moment. Is there a viewing problem that im not seeing? And i am trying to get the double beams on each side.

Hello Giorgio,

when I load your definition  I see the beams. In order to see them shaded, you have to change the Grasshopper display-mode (see buttons on the upper right side).

Best,

Clemens

Thanks Clemens, i had found the solution. But I still am struggeling with the double cross section on both sides to have it connected on the columns. in my test.
