algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Can anybody tell me how to generate free form curve using grasshopper???How can i get similar result like the pictures below??i am so depressed coz i kept searching definitions for a few days but still cant figure out to work it out...can anybody helps??Many thanks!!!

Wouldn't this be a freeform surface? At any rate, you need to figure out the algorithm behind it, then people here can help you putting that algorithm in terms of Grasshopper.

oh...i am a new user for grasshopper and i really dunno the algorithm behind those picture...what i can tell is the first two pics come from a project called "Landscape Playhouse" by Achim Menges and the last pic from "Shingon Shu Buddhist Temple And Ossuary" by Thomas Heatherwick Studio...here are the links of the 2 projects:
I would like to work on something similar with the above projects...but i cant even figure out the logic behind both projects as well as what compu tools they used to generate the projects...can anybody plz help??Many thanks!!

That is the first step. It has nothing to do with computers I think, it's just pure mathematics. Once you have the maths worked out I can try and help you make it work in Grasshopper, but before then, I don't know either.

1)1st project: Landscape Playhouse" by Achim Menges
It is inspired by intersecting bubbles,the project try to explore the in-between space of some intersecting bubbles and to use the space as an architecture...i would like to know how it process those intersecting bubble space into the "flat plane"??it is something like "plaster cast"...i guess...but its in 3d software...
2) 2nd project:Shingon Shu Buddhist Temple And Ossuary
The project is inspired by a kind of fiber...and then try to imitate the shape in compu...i know it can be done by rhino...but i wonder if theres is any other methods using grasshopper to generate similar result???
So i don't think its a kind of matter about mathematics but computers!!....can anybody help..coz its really urgent!!...many thx!!!:)
The simple answer is you can't expect to find the definitions of those projects lying naked on the internet. So you will have to figure it out yourself. The first step would be understanding their logics (or concept) e.g. "intersecting bubbles and to use the space as an architecture" the second step would be to understand how to do it in Grasshopper and to do that you need to get to know the capabilities and limitations of Grasshopper which I suggest you spend some time finding out. You might be able to cut the bubbles up into 2D slices in Grasshopper. You might be able to generate the bubbles entirely within Grasshopper. Or you might not. Different people can do different things with different amount of effectiveness or different complexity with different tools.
Edit: My way of doing it is to understand it in simple step by step terms e.g. bubbles->merged together->with a landscape attached and merged to it. Then you can try to do the same thing yourself. By the way, you are right, it is not just maths, it is also logic, curiosity, imagination, willpower, as well as computers.

The temple really looks like it is made by hand (like a sculpture, folding a special material), then 3D scanned. I guess the most practical way to emulate this would be http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/sculpting-plastic-mesh-with-kine...
However this is not really a parametric process, more like computer-aided sculpture.
