How to find component that throws and error in Grasshopper

Occasionally I get an error popup window stating that a component has thrown an error.  It gives the name of the component and a coordinate location on the canvas.  However, I can't figure out how to actually find that component.  I can search for the component name, which returns all the components on the canvas with that name.  But I can't determine which one is actually throwing the error.  I could possibly find by coordinate, but I don't know how to do that on the Grasshopper canvas.

Any hints as to how to locate the specific component that is causing the error?

Hi Norm,

these reports are actually bugs that I need to fix. It's sort of a last ditch reporting mechanism not really meant for user consumption. Please send me the file I need and I'll be able to find and fix the bug.

Ok... thanks David.  I'll try to simplify the file and get it so that it consistently throws the exception.  Right now it's hit and miss as to when the error occurs.

Hi David... not sure if this helps isolate the issue, but in trying to replicate this problem I did see the curve proximity component throw an error if one of the curve inputs was receiving recursive input.  I tried to slice that instance out and internalize the data, but it seems that whenever I tried to do that the error was cleared.  So.... I'm just including a screenshot of the component states.
