algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Everyone I'm a student a Carleton university architecture program, I'm currently researching wood lamination.

I'm going to be making a series of molds using a CNC machine which then I can use to laminate wood onto, what I'm trying to achieve at this point is something along the lines of this:

Now I would like to laminate different shapes onto this mold and would like to test this out in rhino to see how the wood deforms onto the mold. So is there a way I could drape a planer surface that I have created  in rhino onto a 3d surface which is the mold ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to look into the Kangaroo plugin. I've never really used it myself so I can't really guide you further, but from what I understand, it would be the best tool to apply forces and material qualities for your deformations.

Get it from food4rhino

Has anyone done something like this in kangaroo ?

Here's a method with Kangaroo.
