algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi I need some help on a possible FeedBack Loop

I have initial setting

1) 4 small circles with radius 9 m
2) each circle is 19 m away from 0,0,0
3) I create Tangent Arc between 2 circles with radius 29m

And the resulting Tangent Arc Length is 20.95 m

I wonder if anyone could help me with this
How do you round off the Tangent Arc Length to a whole number by creating a Loop to adjust or to fine tune the initial setting 1, 2, and 3. (1, 2, and 3 doesn't necessary to be a whole number

I try to connect Galapagos genome without knowing how to connect the fitness output to. Any one with ideas?

hey

so if you want to use galapagos for getting the length of the arc closest to a whole number, you are going to want to round the number you are currently getting, then calculate the difference between the rounded number and the current one. you want this number to get smaller and smaller as galapagos works. galapagos will try find a max value so simply take the output of the diff between the rounded num and the current num and divide any number by it. this is what you will connect to the fitness of the galapagos.
here is the file in the int component that i added, just put the whole number you would like it to be closest to, then run galapagos

good luck
