Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hallo people,

simple question....:)

- Does anyone know how to display a picture from Grasshopper to Rhino?

- how can locate it to (0,0,0)?

- how can I scale it?

- how can i crop it, in different shapes (circle, rectangle...)?

I just drag the jpeg file into Grasshopper, and didn't know what to do next...

thanks in advance!

Grasshopper doesn't support textures at present, so it cannot draw an actual image in the Rhino viewports. You could however create a mesh with coloured vertices that represents the image. This involves an Image sampler and some other bits and pieces in the current version. The next release of GH will have an image import component (along with a few other importers).

:(

thx for your reply though!

nass

I must be dreaming, right David, this is so nice!

With an Import to shp file ???

Oh Verry good....

I wrote some basic importers (3dm, images, points from text files and GIS/Shape files). If these turn out to be useful I can start adding more importers and exporters. Maybe for Rhino6 it will even be possible to use all the native im/exporters. -- David Rutten david@mcneel.com Poprad, Slovakia

The GIS/shp file import can import curves ?

Points, curves and regions.

Nice

Perfect.

David

Will it be possible to create a date sequence (ie. 01-02, 01-03, 01-04) using a new time component?

These are all the time and date components that will be included in the next release.

And yes, there's both [Interpolate Time] and [Time Range]. They're hooked up to the clock objects in the image below.
