How to Cull subsurfaces in column direction?

How to Cull subsurfaces in column direction?

how to organize the respective areas (U SubDivisions) ,
to select specific areas of every second column.
i want to turn off some of them, to create a wall-structure.

1. the U-subdivision should be odd.
2. the selection of the surfaces should only place in every second column.
3. if the subdivision is changed, the principle should be maintained.
