algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear GH Fellow,

I do have a question which seems quite simple but which is giving me a huge headache since yesterday:

I have a collection of 6 points, they are aligned 3 by 3 and I would like to fit the smallest possible rectangle through all of the 6 points, should both lines be parallel.

It should be super easy for you experts and your help would be highly appreciated.

Cheers,

Xavier

If these points are align with the x axis and also are in the same plane:
Points > Bounding box (rigth click - union box) > Rectangle (generic component).

If are align in other axis, you must change the plane of the bounding box.

Or if you want the minimum polyline that contains them, use convex hull component.

Damn! The Convex Hull works like hell, thanks Daniel, you just saved my day .

Cheers
