Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm a student and i'm new to kukaprc..

Does anyone know how to convert a .src file which direct kuka robot into a .gha file?

I have kukaprc installed in grasshopper, and have problem reading .src file as i believed it's read by the robot. I wanted to edit the definition that i was given in the .src file but grasshopper won't open it....

I've attached the src file, please have a try on yours or if you know any way, will really appreciate it!!

Thanks a million in advance.

Hello Judy,

Unfortunately there is no way of converting an existing SRC file back into Grasshopper code. The thing is that all the complex logic that you create in Grasshopper ultimately comes down to a series of robot movement commands, but there isn't a way to reverse-engineer it back into GH code.

Of course what you can try to do is parse a SRC file and try to extract e.g. the movement commands so that you can display it in Rhino. However this is not implemented in KUKA|prc, though you should be able to do it with GH's string operators.

Finally, if you just want to see what a SRC files does without loading it onto the robot, you can try to open it with KUKA OfficeLite / SimPro (if you've got the software, it's not automatically included with every KUKA).

For KUKA|prc support refer also to the Robots in Architecture forum at forum.robotsinarchitecture.org

Thanks so much for the reply Johannes,

I will try them now!
