algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am a beginner with karamba and I have some problems with the modeling of a diagrid structure. Since the final geometry of the building is not yet defined, how can I assign to the structure of the floor loads and the wind loads that I have both in kN/m2?

you could use the MeshLoad-component (see manual) to apply the loads.

I had already solved with mesh load, anyway thanks very much for replying me!!

About the orientation, I have to set it on global?

additional dead weight is global, wind local (always acts perpendicular to a surface), snow projected global.

I set the wind load on local to mesh but the load is oriented as you can see in the first picture; however, if the load is set on global it is directed along x which is how I want it (as you can see in the second picture). Can you suggest me how to do?

The local orientation of shell elements depends on the way the underlying mesh was created. Enable the display of the local element coordinate systems in the ModelView-component to get an overview.

Sorry to bother you again, but I can not fix it! Please can you tell me how to change the local axes of the elements so that the wind load is directed along x? You can see the gh file attached

I can not open your definition because I do not have Rabbit installed. Please reduce the size of the definition as much as possible. This maks it easier to locate the problem.

Dear Simona, try to test the MeshLoad-component in a small example. The examples in the installation folder of Karamba (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 5.0 (64-bit)\Plug-ins\Karamba) could be a starting point.
From the images of your definition you provide below it is not possible for me to tell what the problem might be.
