algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, my friends,

I need a few hints on how to do this one swiftly. Let's say you have a point cloud. Each  point on this cloud is connected to the neighbouring points with a straight line.

How do I count how many points have any given number of connections?

How do you define "neighboring points"?

How do you eliminate duplicate lines?  (i.e., Point_B --> Point_A is a duplicate of Point_A --> Point_B)

You can try to do something like that. That is the shortest way I found to solve lines connected to vertex  ( point ). You can just replace mesh and input your initial points and lines to test.
