algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have a quick question and wanting to know if anyone has the answer. I have a lofted surface I have create using arcs created with 3 points (Curve/Primitive/Arc 3Pt), in effect I have made a tunnel with a curved roof. I am wanting to know if I can cut a circular hole from the lofted surface? In effect to make a hole in the top of it

Thanks

It's a bit crude, but it works.

Extrude your circle through the surface you want to trim. Cap it to make it solid then using the Solid boolean difference create a new Brep. Because part of the boolean is not a solid it might not behave as expected, a bit of trial and error might be needed to get what you want. Then explode the new Brep and show only the surface with the hole in it.

Note that the Item Component is zero (i.e. the first trimmed surface, this might be different depending on your geometry)

Thankyou for this, it worked perfectly!
