Hi.

"Above to a surface" means to move along "Z" direction?

If so, you have connected the wrong thing(ie; Unit X vector). Instead, try to connect "Z" vector. Best.

It means that points should be offsetted on surface, not on z direction. Is that possible?

Then, try to connect "Surface Nomal Vector" from the "Divide Surface" component.
