Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

How about a "Save Rhino Geometry/Objects" component? - David?

What I thought would be very handy is to have a component that can save the Rhino geometry/objects you select in Rhino as you would select objects for Parameter components.

So next time you open a Grasshopper file the component will activate and automatically bake that geometry/object ONCE.

Am I the only one who finds this could be handy? Is this a difficult thing to do?

No. Yes.

Auto-bake is on the list, but we (McNeel) need to figure out a way to do this that will minimize overhead.

Thanks for the reply David, but the baking is not realy my issue here. I am more interested in saving Rhino objects in GH in a component that can be baked (manually) next time you open the GH file.
Oh I'm sorry, I misread your request.

It's a feature I haven't thought about before, but it should be possible.

I am wandering if there is available component that can autosave Rhino file.

Sometimes I have this big simulation file that I run and connect bake to same toggle. File is simulated and results baked but fill is not responding and I can not get data back as I need to kill process. If I can add to the same toggle after bake, save file. I could kill process and get Rhino file with info that I need. Not sure if I got it clear?
