Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey, I have a problem with the Solve Adjacencies component, it assigns the wrong properties to a number of surfaces, this was confirmed by using the Decompose Base on Type and the Label Zones components. This is illustrated in the attached pictures, where cyan is repesenting internal walls, yellow-brown the external walls, red the roof and orange the ceilings.

Any idea why this problem is occuring?

Hi Nickolaj,

As I mentioned in the group you haven't intersected the geometries and that's why Honeybee can't find the adjacent surfaces correctly. If the geometry is not going to change I suggest to intersect the geometries in Rhino using splitFace once. Honeybee also has a component for intersecting masses but since you have so many zones it can take quite awhile to intersect all of them in Grasshopper.

For example for the south wall it should look like this:

and now adjacency are correct for the part that I fixed. You can see the rest of the wall which is not intersected is considered internal wall.

Please post your discussions related to Ladybug and Honeybee to the group discussion forum (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/ladybug/forum). If you have mentioned the discussion under the comments I would have not seen this.
