Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am actually trying to display the hight of a surface but projected on the surface.

Since I didnt know how to do this I decided to do it with points but for some reason I am not getting the gradient instead I am just getting 2 colors either blue or green and nothing in between.

please could anyone help me with this and if you know how to do the same with the actual surface I would be really thankful.

many thanks in advance

2 things.

1) You are trying to gradient the Z value of the point therefore the lower and upper bounds of the gradient should be made up of the Z values not the Normals.

2) The Bounds component should find the bounds for the entire point set not just each column of points. So you need to flatten the input.

You cannot apply this type of gradient to a surface unless you do it with a texture. But you can do it with a Mesh by providing a colour value for each vertex.

(high pitch) DAMN!

That was fast and nice!

Thanks man! I really appreciate it!
