Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

When visualisating objects in gh the edges of the different breps are always shown through other objects, even if the the transparency of the objects is set to zero in Display>Preview settings. I find this annoying sometimes, I have to bake for a proper view.

I've also tried using the custom preview component with similar results.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the visualisation of the hidden lines?

Thanks,

Adrià

You can switch off the Bump Preview option in the canvas toolbar menu (rightmost button, bottom most item in the dropdown). This will probably fix the wires showing, but it will also be harder to see when geometry has been referenced from Rhino.

This should definitely be the default visualisation for gh... no bump edges and random colors per per each new operation.

I love you Bump preview button.

Thanks Daniel!

Hi Boris,

the default is to bump the preview because of referenced geometry. We know it's a bad solution, but at present it's the only solution. If you have a curve in Rhino and an identical curve in Grasshopper, the one in Rhino is almost always drawn 'on top' of the Grasshopper one, which means you can't see the GH preview geometry because it's often obscured by Rhino geometry.
