algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

Would anyone know how to have a hexagonal grid on a surface which would approximately have equal sides ?

I have been trying two different ways of getting hexagonal grids on surface with and without scripting (Thanks to Luis Fraguada).

I have been trying to change the U and V of the grid to reach equal sides but can't manage...

Hope you can help

Well, the hex spacing is dependent on the UV parameterization of the surface. If you can feed it a grid of points which is spaced out and organized well, it should get closer to some even spacing, but something always has to give in order to approximate the freeform surface.
Do you need the hexagons to have equal internal angles as well? If not I think it should be possible to construct a grid with exactly, not approximately, equal sides.
I know you guys can help me with this please help me
thanks!!
