hexagonal cloud ceiling

Hi, i am very new to grass hoper and as an interior designer have been presented with the challenge of making a 3d hexagonal ceiling which will be around 200m long in the form of a cloud. I have got as far as producing the gradient image to form around and now need some help in turning this into a 3d ceiling... Any help would be great.
