algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone. I was wondering if it could be possible to convert a surface into a mesh of smooth hexagons, keeping them connected with a "Y" branching system.
Thank´s! I will really appreciate your help!

Hi Evert,

I was interested in looking at your HexagridMesh file, however i am unable to download your gh file. I was wondering if you knew what the issue is.

Best,

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

I'll have a look at it next time I'm on my PC, in the meantime here it is, right click "save target file as"   something.ghx.

I hope it helps.

I have tried to put in working plane that I can draw various patterns on and it projects it onto the surface. I am missing something in the definition because it is no longer lofting the cells like the original script was doing.

I am not experienced enough to know what I am missing at this point. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Alexis, the "working planes" is already there in the frame of the evaluate surface component on the centre points.

I haven't got my PC with me , I'll have a look at your definition tomorrow. Cheers

Evert
