Help with Grasshopper - geomatry

Hi,

I'm really new with GH and in trying to get something that i do not know how to start..

For start - I want the GH to check every square that i have how many edges are free.

for example, if i have 2 close squares so each one of them has 3 "free" edges.

and then i want the GH to give a grade to it (3) and than a color ( 1-2-3-4, every number would get color)

I added a picture that explains better and the rhino file that i'm trying to so this on.
