algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey guys,
I have a picture of an origami structure that I've been trying to replicate in grasshopper. I've been trying to use the origami component in kangaroo but I don't think it can work with this shape. I was wondering if anyone could give me a start or if this is even possible in grasshopper? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure this is not actually origami in the classical sense, but in fact many separate pieces of paper folded into pyramids and stuck onto a flat surface.
If it were folded from a single sheet without cuts, then the angles around each vertex would have to sum to 360°, which they clearly do not in that image.
If you allow separate pieces like this, then the only restriction is that the angles around each internal vertex in a single piece must sum to 360°.
A reverse image search tells me it is the work of Matthew Shlian, and on his website he says he doesn't use parametric software.
