Help! Trying to do a 2D Wolly Lines test for some urban analysis

Please help!

I'm trying to show routes from various points around a site and optimise the routes using wollylines with Kangaroo. I've had no luck with Kangaroo 2 so I've resorted back to Kangaroo 1 which I've got further with (it will actually show lines!) but I can't get the lines to bend or anything to happen with I change the toggle to true.

Please could someone help me make the test work so I have transfer it into my site.
