Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I‘m pretty new to grasshopper and in a too big hurry to try to figure this out myself, so I‘m asking for your kind help!!

I‘ve got a 2D Voronoi generated from a certain point grid, fitting in a square.
Now I need three things
1. Give these curves a certain thickness (x-z-axis)
2. Give them a height , which is gonna decrease linear (y-axis, starting high on the one sideof the square and finishing low on the other)
3. A command prompting the voronoi to omit certain points when the curves generated are getting too short

I‘d be really greatfull for any help..

Hi M,

Some questions, so I can get a better feel for what your're after?

1) have you generated the 2D Voronoi in GH or is it referenced curves?
2) is your y axis reference up?
3) should the 'height' for the whole cell be determined by the location of the point or should it be a straight line decreasing at a constant angle?
4) is the reason for culling the small curves based on the results of offsetting the curve to gain thickness?

But here is what I put together whilst making some assumptions. (there's no culling)

Hi!

Thank you soo much!
I just tried it out, really nice!

I generated the voronoi in GH using some points extraxted from a certain Processing Graphic
(something like: http://www.wblut.com/blog/wp-content/2009/02/voronoifractal2_1.png )
My y axis is up, but i can always just flip the whole thing, so it doesn‘t really matter.
now about the decreasing height it should be a straight line decreasing, though your option‘s giving me a new idea..
and about culling I have to build the whole thing in real, using a laser cutter, so I can‘t have too small items or they will just fall off

Thanks again!!

M
