Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am trying out a circular moire effect. I wanted to have various centers for various circles (say 7 circles) and on every center would have a series of concentric circles like in the image below. The difference would be, I think, that the radius growth would increase not linearly but with a growing difference everytime. Say for instance that I have a 1.25 growth factor from circle to circle and also can anyone help me with the same growth principle like the one in the image? How can I have (n)number of circles growing inside a circle?

Thank you!

Thank you. Yes, Jissi's one does do that but I wanted a little bit more control over where I place the center of the circles. For your definition, what is the curve that needs to be assigned on the GH definition?

Thank you again!

I was expecting you to use your Moire_engraving 3dm file. The curve is the rectangular outline.

So you want something like a curve boolean for every closed cell in the network?

Right now I'd say, it's not feasible with GH.

You can find all the intersections and shatter the curves to cell boundaries. Finding closed cells from this set of curves might be possible with a script. There is a component in KARAMBA that finds cells in a network of lines. It's nice and fast, but this component needs the whole network compressed from individiual lines to individual nodes and connectivity. So for a cell made of two arc-like curves there is no way to identify the original border curves form their vertices.

many thanks for the note!

Do anyone know how to make this definitions but with rectangles instead of circles?? i need to make a moire effect with cubes and then generate distorsion to them, to generate a rotation
