algorithmic modeling for Rhino

grid pattern for tower

pattern:

I've done the grid-pattern for volume with 4 faces, but I can't make the same for 5, 3, 6-sided volume.

I'm kindly asking anyone to help me with this problem, maybe somebody had the same problem and knows the solution. I have a suspicion that the problem is related with the order of edges of polygon for the volume:

Hi Nadya, I made a stretchy version some time ago, but it may not be to your liking. Maybe I'll find some time to give it some more thought too...  Hope it helps a bit anyway (the file I meant).
